Vestibular Therapy

Helping You Regain Balance and Confidence with Vestibular Therapy

Do you ever feel dizzy or unsteady? Have you ever had moments where it felt like the room was spinning around you? Have you ever experienced spinning when lying into bed or rolling over? These symptoms often indicate an issue with your vestibular system, the part of your body responsible for balance and spatial orientation.

Vestibular issues can increase your fall risk and complicate day-to-day activities. Fortunately, the vestibular therapy services we offer at Advantage Physical Therapy can help you find steady ground once again.

Conditions That Benefit from Vestibular Therapy

Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

A condition where tiny crystals in the inner ear become dislodged, causing brief but intense vertigo when you change head positions

Labyrinthitis and Vestibular Neuritis

Inner ear infections that can inflame the vestibular nerve or structures, leading to sudden dizziness, balance issues, and sometimes nausea

Ménière’s Disease

An inner ear disorder that causes episodes of vertigo, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, and a feeling of fullness in one ear

Concussion-Related Dizziness

Post-concussion symptoms often include balance problems and sensitivity to motion due to short-term changes in how the brain processes movement

Chronic Dizziness or Motion Sensitivity

Persistent feelings of lightheadedness, imbalance, or discomfort with movement that can be triggered by visual environments, like busy stores or driving

What to Expect During Vestibular Therapy at Advantage Physical Therapy

During your first appointment at our Redmond clinic, we’ll complete a thorough assessment to understand the root cause of your symptoms. From there, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan that may include:

Canalith repositioning techniques (like the Epley maneuver) to relieve BPPV

  • Balance and stability training to reduce fall risk
  • Gaze stabilization exercises to improve vision control with head movement
  • Habituation exercises to minimize motion sensitivity over time
  • Manual therapy to address neck-related dizziness or tension

We offer one-on-one treatment sessions, allowing us to closely monitor your progress and adjust your plan as needed.
