Our Team

Joaquin was born and raised in Waco, TX and moved around the Texas/Oklahoma area for most of his life. He played football from middle to high school as an offensive line man, starting his passion for strength training and working around aches and pains. For his undergraduate degree Joaquin went to Baylor University where he attained his BS in Biochemistry with the intentions to join the medical field. Shortly after graduating from Baylor’s undergraduate program he would attend Baylor’s Graduate School to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Joaquin’s desire to provide compassionate and empowering care for his patients is what drove him to be a physical therapist and help every person he can live their lives to the fullest. In keeping this this mind set, Joaquin enjoys treating sports related injuries, orthopedic conditions and geriatric populations with a fitness forward approach. Joaquin joined the Advantage PT team in Redmond in 2025 as a physical therapist and is looking forward to investing in and treating the community. 

Out side of the clinic you can find Joaquin and his fiancé Sarah hiking/trail running, camping, catching up on fun shows and eating their way across Seattle (if you have any recommendations he would love to hear them).  Additionally, Joaquin loves to work on his FJ Cruiser and is always looking for the next car related event to attend or project to work on.
