Chris Tuohy, DPT is an experienced and talented physical therapist and the Founder of Advantage PT and Sports Rehabilitation. He has over 17 years of experience in patient care and has continued his training with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy in 2004 and a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy in 2007. He has extensive training in advanced physical therapy, including manual therapy, functional exercise techniques, medically based exercise therapy, strain/counter strain, muscle energy techniques and many others. Joel Spring, DPT received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in August of 2008 from A.T. Still University- The Arizona School of Health Sciences. He has been practicing in the Seattle area since October of the same year. Joel’s rehabilitation interests include foot/ankle conditions, pathologies of the shoulder, sports injury rehabilitation, and core stabilization. Growing up in Bellevue, Joel understands the area’s natural ability to promote and encourage an active lifestyle and he enjoys participating in all the area has to offer and understands the want to return to participation in sports and recreational activities.

Ann Johnson, MPT graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. She then received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from St. Ambrose University. Over the past 14 years, she has worked in health clubs and outpatient orthopedic settings with athletes from a variety of sports. Her continuing education includes kinesiotaping, myofascial release, and Mulligan manual therapy. She practices from an evidence based approach to provide the patient with the most effective and current treatment approaches. She believes in empowering the patient with education and exercises to take charge of their own health care. Personally she is a triathlete and skier and enjoys getting athlete’s back to their best.

Lindsey McLeod, DPT is a Seattle native. She earned a BS in Biology from Davidson College in North Carolina and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MGH-Institute for Health Professions in Massachusetts. Prior to her adventures with Physical Therapy, she taught marine biology and led wilderness adventure trips with students abroad. Lindsey’s treatment approach focuses on teaching individuals how to take an active role in recovery so they can return to activity without pain or risk of reinjury. Her special interests include sports-related injuries, post-operative shoulder, knee, and ankle, trauma from motor-vehicle accidents, and overuse injuries. She is pursuing an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) Certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Lindsey is an avid hiker with the Mountaineers and also enjoys kayaking, scuba diving, and traveling.

Rachel Stoner, MPT graduated from Dickinson College with a bachelor's degree in Greek. She then moved to the Pacific Northwest where she sought her Masters in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. Since graduation in 1998 she has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, home health, geriatrics, and most recently a large outpatient sports clinic. Rachel has a passion for treating pre and post partum related injuries, athletes and sports related injuries, and all types of back pain. She also really enjoys working with post operative patients and rehabilitating them so they can perform their favorite activities. Rachel believes in empowering the patient with the knowledge to prevent future injury and improve posture and mechanics. Rachel's personal interests include volunteering on the Physical Therapy Association of Washington Education Committee and in her children's classrooms, hot yoga, running, and swimming.

Amber Swedberg, DPT received a BS in Exercise Science with a specialization in Athletic Training from Western Washington University. After completing a two and half year internship program working with all of WWU’s sports teams, Amber became a certified athletic trainer (ATC). Amber continued her education at the University of Washington where she graduated from UW’s first Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program. Amber enjoys working with a variety of patients including athletes, post-surgical patients, post-partum women, school aged children and those who have overuse injuries. Amber believes in patient empowerment through education and uses various manual techniques in addition to teaching therapeutic exercises to help her patients reach their therapy goals. Amber’s personal interests include running, hiking, travel, photography and spending time with her husband and two young children.
